And The Winner Is…

The time has finally come and we are so excited to finally announce the winner of our New. Now. Never contest.

It was an extremely difficult task, choosing from so many great ideas, that it took us an entire week to decide who the winner would be! But after careful consideration, we are proud to announce Shakira F. as our very first MOOD contest winner, and the recipient of a $50 iTunes gift card!

We thought her idea of having a wedding (which is typically considered elegant and classy) in an old, abandoned subway station extremely creative and that would really push the creative limits. We loved the idea of playing off the architecture, stained glass and Guastavino tile, coupled with the historic charm and character of a once bustling train station in NYC.

An art-deco themed invitation suite, complete with a vintage map of the subway would be very appropriate for a subway themed wedding. Instead of table numbers at the reception, each table could be named after one of New York’s many subway stations. We also love the idea of doing a monogram in an art-deco style as well, just like the eagle and the double “B” monogram below. And how awesome are those cuff links? Perfect for the groom and his groomsmen. As you can see, our gears are already turning!

Congratulations again to Shakira F. for submitting the winning entry. And a tremendous thank you to all of our readers who participated. We have many more contests in the works, so keep posted! To read Shakira’s winning idea and all of the other ideas submitted, click here.

  • I’m flabbergasted. You guys are so amazing. You took my whole idea and expanded it into something super classy and innovative. I totally want to do this for my wedding and I want my groom in a sexy train conductor outfit.
